Key responsibilities:


Market research and lead generation:

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential clients within the Australian telecommunications market, including businesses of various sizes across different industries. 


Client relationship building:

Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients by actively engaging in networking, cold calling, and scheduled meetings to understand their telecommunications needs. 


Solution development:

Analyze client requirements and design customized telecommunications solutions, including data, voice, network infrastructure, and cloud services, to address their specific business challenges. 


Proposal creation and presentation:

Prepare detailed proposals outlining the proposed telecommunications solutions, pricing structure, and value proposition, delivering compelling presentations to potential clients. 


Negotiation and contract closure:

Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions while maximizing revenue potential. 


Account management:

Manage existing client accounts by proactively identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, addressing concerns, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

 

Sales forecasting and reporting:

Accurately forecast sales pipeline, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to senior management on sales progress and market trends. 


Required skills and qualifications:



Technical knowledge:

In-depth understanding of telecommunications technologies including data networks, voice over IP (VoIP), fiber optics, cloud services, and network security. 


Sales acumen:

Proven track record of success in B2B sales, particularly within the telecommunications industry, with strong negotiation and closing skills. 


Relationship building:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and establish long-term partnerships. 


Market awareness:

Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian telecommunications market, including competitors, regulatory landscape, and emerging trends. 


Business acumen:

Ability to understand client business needs and tailor solutions to address their specific challenges. 


Presentation skills:

Confidence in delivering presentations to senior executives clearly communicating the value proposition of the telecommunications solutions.
