Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Administration & Management:
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, ensuring compliance with Australian laws and industry standards.
• Manage contract lifecycle from tendering through to project completion.
• Ensure all contractual obligations, variations, and claims are properly documented and resolved.
• Risk & Compliance Management:
• Identify potential contract risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including Australian Building Codes and WHS (Work Health & Safety) regulations.
• Resolve disputes and claims efficiently to minimise financial and legal exposure.
• Financial & Project Oversight:
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow to ensure profitability.
• Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and stakeholders to align contractual terms with project goals.
• Assist in procurement, subcontractor agreements, and supplier negotiations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Law, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in contract management within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of Australian construction laws, contract frameworks (e.g., AS 4000, AS 2124), and dispute resolution processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret legal and technical documents with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
