GIS Technician Jobs
GIS Technicians will support our geospatial data management and mapping initiatives in Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data analysis, and cartography, and will play a crucial role in supporting spatial data solutions for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and manage geospatial data using GIS software.
- Create, update, and maintain digital maps and spatial databases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of GIS applications and solutions.
- Perform spatial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders on GIS-related projects.
- Troubleshoot GIS-related issues and provide technical support.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging GIS technologies and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in GIS analysis and mapping.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
- Experience working with spatial databases, remote sensing, and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
