Network Analyst Jobs

Key responsibilities may include:
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption to identify trends and patterns.
- Using specialized software to create detailed models of the electricity grid to simulate different scenarios and assess potential impacts of changes.
- Forecasting future energy demand and identifying potential bottlenecks in the network to ensure adequate capacity.
- Analyzing network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to maximize efficiency.
- Identifying and investigating potential faults or disruptions within the network to minimize outages and ensure rapid response.
- Providing technical expertise to support new infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies and design considerations.
- Ensuring network operations adhere to relevant Australian energy market regulations.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including engineers, operations teams, and management.
Required skills:
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of power systems, including electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and grid operations.
- Data analysis skills: Proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools
- Modeling expertise: Familiarity with power system modeling software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld)
- Programming skills: Ability to write scripts or code for data analysis and automation tasks
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify complex issues within the network and develop practical solutions
- Communication skills: Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
