Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall project strategy, including timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress against key performance indicators and make necessary adjustments.
Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Regularly present project updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and address any concerns promptly.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the project budget, including cost control measures.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and approve invoices from subcontractors.
Technical Expertise:
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Review design drawings and specifications, identifying potential issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between various stakeholders including government agencies, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects in Australia
