Transmission Line Engineer Jobs
Transmission Line Engineers will support the design, construction, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines in Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in power transmission, structural analysis, and project management, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the transmission network.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze overhead and underground transmission line systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for transmission projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize line routing and structural design.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies for transmission networks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide technical support for construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Utilize software tools for transmission line modeling and analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transmission line engineering or power system design.
- Proficiency in transmission line design software such as PLS-CADD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission systems.
- Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in utility or consultancy firms specializing in transmission projects.
