Mining engineer Jobs

Mining Engineers design and implement mining processes to extract minerals efficiently and safely. They develop mine plans, conduct feasibility studies, and optimise resource extraction while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Their role involves liaising with geologists, surveyors, and project managers to assess mine stability, design open-cut or underground mining methods, and improve operational efficiency. Mining Engineers may also be responsible for budgeting, equipment selection, and implementing new technologies to enhance productivity.


Required Skills:
A degree in Mining Engineering is required, along with expertise in mining software such as Surpac, Vulcan, or Deswik. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a deep understanding of Australian mining legislation. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are necessary for managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
