A Piping Engineer has a complicated job and so many employers prefer candidates to have a relevant engineering qualification. These could include a Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in either Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, however, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering are great alternatives.
The typical responsibilities of a Piping Engineer can include any of the following:
Piping Engineers can progress their careers in several ways. One is to work their way towards Piping Designing and then eventually towards other areas of Engineering Design, such as a CAD Designer. Alternatively, they can also move into other areas of engineering, such as Mechanical or Civil.
