How to Enter

To become a Planner/Scheduler within the Oil & Gas industry, most New Zealand employers expect candidates to hold a Bachelor or Master of Planning, or a Bachelor or Master of Resource and Environmental Planning.


Typical Responsibilities

The typical job responsibilities of a Planner/Schedule can include any of the following:

  • Planning Oil & Gas resources such as pipes, oil platforms or other structures and networks
  • Researching and reporting the effects of proposed developments, particularly on the environment
  • Presenting reports to Government, local councils, companies and clients


Progression

Planners/Schedulers can progress their careers by moving into more specialist or senior-level Planning and Scheduling roles within the Oil & Gas industry.


Salary Range

61K – 100K per annum (NZD)
