As part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll contribute directly to equipment reliability and mine productivity — all while enjoying the benefit of being home every night on a 7/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy mobile equipment (including loaders, haul trucks, drills, graders, and excavators).
- Carry out troubleshooting and fault finding to minimise downtime.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns as needed.
- Work safely and ensure all tasks align with site safety and environmental standards.
- Work closely with supervisors, planners, and fellow trades to support efficient operations.
- A recognised trade qualification – Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Mechanic.
- Experience with mining or heavy industrial mobile plant equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across major OEMs (CAT, Komatsu, Sandvik, Epiroc, etc.).
- Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with site procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience with underground mining equipment (advantageous but not essential).
