We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our  team in Mount Isa, in one of Australia’s most significant mining and processing hubs.
You'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of electrical systems and infrastructure, with an emphasis on High Voltage (HV) equipment and switching.
This is a permanent residential role offering excellent long-term career growth within a high-performance, safety-focused team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems across the site, including HV and LV Electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Conduct HV switching operations and ensure compliance with site electrical safety procedures in accordance with Australian standards
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using the site’s CMMS.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and operational teams to achieve production targets safely.
About You:
  • Current Queensland Electrical Licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • Demonstrated High Voltage (HV) switching and maintenance experience 
  • Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, or similar environments preferred
  • High regard for safety, risk management, and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley) highly regarded.
