About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a hands-on Mining Engineer who enjoys being close to the action and contributing directly to day-to-day underground performance. This is an ideal move for someone with solid underground exposure who wants to progress their technical, operational, and scheduling capabilities in a supportive team environment.
You’ll be involved in a mix of planning, engineering design, underground inspections, production tracking, geotechnical inputs and close collaboration with key operational teams. No two days look the same—and your contribution will have real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage weekly production and development plans, including daily progress tracking
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure activities align with short-term schedules
- Conduct regular underground inspections to support safe and efficient operations
- Complete engineering tasks including drill & blast designs, production plans, surveys and reporting
- Monitor production performance against forecasts and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with geotechnical inspections and minor rehabilitation recommendations
- Collaborate with geology teams to integrate new data into operational plans
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
- At least 3+ years’ experience as a Mining Engineer (underground experience highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of underground mining principles and production processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational teams
- Experience with modern mine design software, ideally Deswik
