Senior Environment & Community Advisor – Regional Victoria
Shape Modern Mining | Lead EHS Implementation | Be Home Every Night
Are you an experienced Environmental and Community professional ready to take ownership of EHS strategy at site level? This is a rare opportunity to lead from the front in a key advisory role with a mining operation located in one of regional Victoria’s most liveable and picturesque areas .

We're partnering with a mining organisation undergoing a major transformation – one that prioritises environmental accountability, community trust, and long-term sustainability. This newly created role is ideal for someone ready to drive best practice across environmental compliance, community engagement, and health & safety systems from the ground up.

The Role:
Reporting to a senior member of the leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding robust Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) systems, aligning with legislative and operational frameworks.

R esponsibilities:

  • Design and implement integrated EHS management systems across site operations.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and manage key programs.
  • Engage with regulators and ensure all statutory reporting is timely and accurate.
  • Lead stakeholder and community engagement initiatives, including Indigenous partnerships.
  • Build internal awareness of environmental and social responsibilities through training and mentoring.
  • Manage grievance processes, sponsorship programs, and cultural heritage protocols.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who’s not only technically sound, but also confident engaging with communities and operational leaders alike.
You’ll bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian EHS legislation and environmental risk frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing or improving EHS or ISO-certified systems.
  • The ability to work independently and build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A people-first, values-driven approach.
The benefits:
  • Get home every night – enjoy the work/life balance you’ve been chasing.
  • Competitive salary + super + relocation support.
  • Work in a welcoming, close-knit team that values ideas and ownership.
  • Live in regional Victoria – home to vibrant communities, great food & wine, and stunning nature.
  • Genuine opportunity to shape how sustainability and safety are delivered on site.
If you're looking for a long-term move to a company and community that value integrity, transparency, and sustainability — this is your chance.
