You’ll excel at this Business Development Manager job if you’re an experienced Civil Engineer who’s worked in civil construction, understands civil contractors and knows what contractors need in a supplier to enable them to build top-quality, high-performing solutions for their clients – especially councils and municipalities.
You will be confident at connecting with Tier 1 and 2Civil Engineering Contractors, Designers, Consulting Engineers, Council Clients.You’ll understand what it takes to get products and solutions approved with Councils, regulatory bodies and stakeholders.You will understand engineering detail; how to work with these entities and how to get specified into a range of Civil Water applications such as Roading projects, Rail projects as well as general drainage and stormwater infrastructure.
You will enjoy working for a Company who design and manufacture new products; can redesign or modify existing projects and who already have a track-record of making solutions that are super-durable and save time and money for the Contractor who’s building/installing your pipes, tanks and related Stormwater handling product range.
To grow the reputation and market penetration of this already established brand, you’ll initially travel maybe up to a couple of weeks per month NZ wide, building yours and your brand’s profile.Further down the track some travel can be relieved as established relationships can be effectively progressed by phone etc once your face has become known.
As you get around the country, you’ll be prospecting for opportunities, pricing work and following up to get contracts signed.
