Due to sustained growth my client have a current need for an experienced, proactive CAD Draughter based out of their production facility in South East Auckland. Having achieved significant, sustained growth over the last 2 years, this role will play an integral part in maintaining ambitious ongoing production targets. Post lockdown they are in good shape with a full order book and a number of long term contracts giving certainty and the confidence to add to a small, high performing draughting team.
As an experienced draughtsman you will have a good base of construction knowledge and be comfortable measuring, drawing and facilitating the manufacture of a range of balustrade systems and exterior products. Most importantly you will be accurate and efficient with your drawing, proficient with CAD systems ideally Solid Works and have developed communication skills and able to relate well to others.
You will be organised and assist with the planning and preparation of schedules to maintain a constant workflow and ensure that the project meets timeframes, while keeping customers informed of progress. You will be working collaboratively with a high performing team to measure, draw, order and deliver innovative and market leading balustrading solutions for the industry. Your role will include:
Site Measure Up’s focussed in Balustrade systems
Ensuring technical specification meets Council and Building Code standards
Procurement / Ordering of materials
Communication with internal staff and external clients
Timely hand over to Manufacturing and Installation
Planning and preparing schedules
Construction experience and a strong practical bent
Tertiary Engineering / Draughting diploma or similar
Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
Be competent with Site Measure-ups
Experience in Drafting with CAD Systems with Solidworks desired
Project management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for the industry
Outstanding delegation and time management skills
A strong customer focus and work ethic
