In a highly specialised branch of the Civil Infrastructure maintenance industry, this company has a unique offering of an extremely clever product/system that can robotically install a durable and clean re-lining system inside degraded water pipes.They’re the only ones offering this solution to Regional and City Councils throughout New Zealand and their cost-effective and efficient system saves the country millions in civil works and the consequential disruption every year.
Installing this system is a highly mechanical process rarely requiring a hole to be dug – with most access via existing man-holes and access points.
The right candidate will have a solid understanding of underground civil assets and working with local government asset owners.You’ll be an innovative problem solver and very resourceful.
Up front – this job includes a lot of out-of-town travel and you’ll often have multiple teams in multiple locations.You’ll be a masterful people manager, motivator and with a pastoral bent.When you’ve had crews away from home for several weeks, your ability to keep the team feeling looked after and their spirits up - moulding the culture in a positive way, will be mission critical.
Planning and organising with strong attention to detail will also be crucial.This will ensure your teams have information, tools and resources in the right place at the right time meaning productivity is maximised.
The rewards you get, in addition to the job satisfaction of being able to constantly knock out the work profitably; will be a very generous remuneration package.The out-of-town travel will be generously compensated with a base salary in the region of $130k-$150k, overtime will be paid on top plus a good quality company vehicle.
