A well-established Auckland based Surveying, Engineering and Planning practice is in need of an experienced CPEng Civil Engineer / Design Manager to take a leadership role in their team. The position is part of succession planning and will work across a broad range of land development and subdivision projects predominately on the North Shore but also across the wider Auckland Isthmus.
Reporting to company Directors this role offers broad exposure on small to medium sized Land Development / Subdivision and related Infrastructure projects. You will require strong design, project management and engineering skills, with exposure to the full development process. From providing initial engineering feasibility, due diligence and cost estimation to storm water and earthworks modelling, consents and engineering approvals this will be ‘bread and butter’ to you. As a registered professional CPEng Engineer you will have good local experience across Contracts Administration and Management, Infrastructure Assessment and Design / Implementation, Onsite Monitoring of Construction, Consultation and Negotiation, Council Consenting Process, Land Development Engineering – Residential and Commercial and Civil Engineering – Storm water, Wastewater, Earthworks and Roading.Effective communication is key, as is the ability to identify and resolve issues ahead of time. A relevant tertiary Civil qualification
7 years + experience as a Civil Engineer across broad civil works, covering earthworks, drainage, utilities, roading, footpaths, retaining walls and landscaping
Proven ability in managing projects to deliver on time and to high quality levels
Ability to manage communication and project documentation
Competent with range of design, earthworks and land formation modelling
Registered CPEng Professional Civil Engineer
