About the role:
We are looking for a Development Manager or an up & coming Assistant Development Manager or Civil Engineer to take responsibility for the front end process of land acquisition and associated land development in preparation for high-end residential developments. This will include managing the design process and consent applications, through to delivery management and hand over.
You will be accountable for ensuring key project deliverables are completed on-time, within cost constraints, and while maintaining good relationships with other key stakeholders.
Procurement and contract negotiations
Commissioning and managing designers and consultants – securing consents and approvals
Overseeing the construction process
Development commercial planning, setting and agreeing budgets
Stakeholder and investor reporting throughout the project lifecycle
Contributing to new land acquisition processes
Successful applicants will have:
Minimum 3-4 years’ New Zealand construction/civil engineering industry experience
Broad history across land development, civil engineering & or residential developments
Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
Solutions-focussed with an ability to creatively solve complex problems
In-depth knowledge of NZ Standard Construction Contracts, esp. NZS 3910
