Our client, who is a well known multinational retailer, is on the search for a Dispatch Manager to take the lead and manage a team of 5 within the dispatch department.
As the Dispatch Manager, your job duties include co-ordinating the daily workload by ensuring that the orders are made up and assembled by your team and ready for dispatch on time.
You will also be required to:
Recruit & train new employees
Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments
Liaise with appropriate courier and transport companies and dispatch according to their requirements
Maintain and manage sales orders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role within warehousing / manufacturing
Staff management experience
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask (approx. 30 orders per day to go out)
Enthusiasm, great communications skills and the ability to pick things up quickly
Effective at prioritising workload and have good organisational skills
