RobLawMax has partnered with a very significant Wellington based entity who has a newly created position for a Land Asset Engineer. The Land Asset Engineer will be responsible to ensure that there are processes and standards in place for all Land Engineering Equipment which is in response to legislative and regulatory obligations, operating needs and technical needs.
The Land Engineering equipment covers a diverse range of equipment such as vehicles, communication equipment, electrical equipment and engineering systems. The equipment regularly comes into the land domain and this needs to be integrated into a system where they will be repaired, maintained and audited to ensure that the safety controls that are meant to happen are actually taking place and being upheld.
As this is a new role, you will be given the sole charge of ensuring that you have a sufficient team in place to ensure that the regulation is issuing standards, delegating engineering authority, monitoring and auditing to confirm that the Land Engineering System is effective. You will be required to prescribe corrective actions and maintain assurance with regulations, rules and best practice for the department.
The ideal candidate will have:
Min 10 years experience in Engineering
Degree or Masters in Engineering
Extensive knowledge of Land Equipment engineering and maintenance practices
Experienced in interpretation of legislation, standards & regulations
Coaching & mentoring skills
Able to maintain a Security clearance
