About the role:
You will be responsible for the mechanical integrity of the company's assets that includes:
Identifying and diagnosing mechanical faults
Undertaking preventative maintenance and examining parts
Repairing and maintaining mechanical plant in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
Managing workload to ensure tasks are completed to required timescales
Accurately recording maintenance schedules
To be successful in this role, you will require the following:
For Fitters and Welders: a minimum of a National Certificate in Maintenance and Diagnostics in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4), or the National Certificate in Engineering - Heavy (Level 4), or the National Certificate in Engineering Fabrication – Welding (Level 4), or equivalent qualification
For Fitters and Turners: a minimum of a National Certificate in Maintenance and Diagnostics in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4), or the National Certificate in Machining and Tool Making (Level 4), or equivalent qualification
Rigging experience in heavy engineering would be ideal
Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery, including electric welding, hydraulic repairs and low voltage wiring repairs
A forklift endorsement and heavy vehicle driver’s licences
The ability to work in a team environment and assist other trades
