With current work load including a number of commercial buildings, medium sized land development and subdivision work, related infrastructure and rural excavated tanks / farm dams they work closely with their both private and public sector clients and take pride in finding innovative, cost effective and environmentally friendly solutions for their projects.

Sitting alongside a CPEng Geotechnical Engineer the role will be well supported and allow the opportunity to take on project leadership under the guidance of an experience industry professional. Geographically projects are typically spread across the Hawkes Bay and Central Hawkes Bay region through to Mahia, but can include parts of theWaikato and Bay of Plenty allowing exposure to varied soils and geotechnical challenges!

The Role:

  • Become an integral part of of a small Geotechnical team within a larger multidisciplinary practice

  • Prepare design briefs for Geotechnical or multidisciplinary projects including preliminary programming and estimates

  • Plan and execute Geotechnical site investigations

  • Provide Geotechnical analysis and design of engineering works

  • Produce reports and provide practical, efficient advice and recommendations to clients

  • Identify opportunities to do things better, support Geotechnical and multidisciplinary colleagues, be collaborative, seek assistance when required

Key Skills:

  • Tertiary qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

  • A number of years NZ based Geotechnical consultancy experience

  • Developed understanding of liquefaction and the associated impacts on soil and buildings

  • Familiar with a range of slope stability or related Geotechnical software

  • Able to produce succinct, high quality technical reports

  • Knowledge and experience working with local and regional soil conditions desirable

  • Personable, genuine character who values integrity and is comfortable working in a flat structured, collaborative environment

  • Current Full Drivers Licence
