You:
This role is suited to a person who has already worked as an Health & Safety Officer or Advisor, ideally in a high risk manufacturing, building or civil contracting environment.
Key attributes required:
Effective working knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Act
Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety
Approachable personality
Effective communicator across all levels
Computer literate
Team player
Ability to follow established protocols
Duties:
Conducting site inductions and inspections
Implementing Health & Safety policies on site
Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act
Managing interaction with subcontractors
Reviewing HSE documentation
Updating the Risk Management and Hazard register
Managing safety meetings
Reporting any safety incidents / near misses
Undertaking investigations
Being approachable to all on site
