Our client is one of NZ’s leading construction contractors who have recently been working on some interesting and challenging construction projects. They are a fantastic company that have a great supportive team and look after their staff. The company is uniquely placed, this is not an opportunity to be missed if you have the track record and desire to go further.
They are now looking for an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. We are looking for someone with around 5+ years as a QS with good commercial construction experience, the ability and skills for cost planning, bill of quantity preparation, and contract administration on commercial construction projects. The ability to help develop and train any junior / cadet QS’s is highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
Experience in cost planning, bills of quantity preparation, measuring cost plans and contract administration on commercial construction projects
The ability to certify payments against the progress of construction
Able to confidently navigate your way around multiple sites and provide technical knowledge to the engineering and building teams
Superb communication skills. This position will see you dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including the people personally affected by the quake
A relevant tertiary education or trade qualified
