Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include a range of Engineering design for commercial and industrial building projects and conveying this information to the draughting and administration team and ensuring technical specifications are met. You will also be given the opportunity for project leadership and a structured pathway to grow and develop professionally, supported by Senior and Principal level colleagues.

Your background:

You will come from a local consultancy environment and have a tertiary as well as professional background with local seismic design and be comfortable as a project lead across design, evaluation and assessment based Structural project work. Exposure to a range of Industrial and Commercial Structures working to AS / NZ standards is essential. A confident communicator you will take a client centric approach to your work. With a flat structured, supportive team you will be grounded, personable and thrive on professional challenges, embracing opportunities to develop both personally and professionally!

You will have:

  • Tertiary Civil or Structural qualification

  • CPEng with Engineering NZ or approaching

  • 7 years + experience in a Structural Engineering consulting environment

  • Proven experience using modern analysis software such as ETABS

  • Developed seismic design, evaluation and assessment experience

  • Ability to read, understand and following detailed drawings & instructions

  • Knowledge of a range of Commercial and Industrial structures from low to high rise

  • Able to work autonomously but equally comfortable supporting developing Engineers

  • Have current work rights for New Zealand, in country or with imminent arrival
