I am urgently on the hunt for an Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join a well established and busy maintenance team in Manukau.
Our client is an international market leaders in the design, manufacture, maintenance and supply of equipment and components for rail systems. As part of the ongoing upgrade to the Auckland Metro rail network, they manage the contract to supply and maintain the 57 new EMU trains entering Auckland's network. The contract to maintain these state of the art trains is conducted at the brand new $40m depot built in Wiri, South Auckland. This is a state of the art premises with multiple projects and moving parts!
We require experienced Electrical and Mechanical Technicians to join our client at their Wiri Depot to take charge of the multitasking electromechanical works for rail rolling stock and corrective maintenance work.
We are looking for people with the following:
A relevant qualification,(Diploma / Certificate in Mech / Electro-mechanical / Electrical) or a relevant Trade Qualification
A good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, either within rail, aviation or similar operations
The ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings and have a good understanding of systems functionality
3-5 years experience in similar or relevant position
The ability to interact and work in both a team and autonomous environment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
** Aircraft experience is looked upon favourably**
