Our client is a family owned, industrial automation and control systems company providing specialist services across the BOP, Tairāwhiti and Waikato regions. Reporting to the Technical Director this role will form an integral part of an established business and will be a key link in achieving the company vision to inspire creativity in design and build technology solutions.
The opportunity
The purpose of the role is to provide operational management and leadership to a team of 10-12 technical staff, identify and implement process and system improvements within the business, develop key client relationships and ensure the company’s position as industry leaders is reinforced.A varied role you will be responsible for estimating, planning, leading and managing projects as well as setting exemplary standards for your team, providing training and development plans and ensuring quality workmanship and exceptional service are a given. With developed administrative support structures within the business you will be well supported to focus on the core functions of your role!
You will procure work, drive performance improvement initiatives, provide Project Management and build and develop key client relationships. Working across a range of varied and at times hazardous environments you will be comfortable developing and maintaining a strong H&S culture, setting the standard for safe work practices.
About you
Developed Project and Operational Management experience within an industrial electrical or manufacturing environment
Proficient with estimating and costing automation, controls or related projects up to $1.5M
Demonstrable track record of continuous improvement, leading teams, driving performance and growth
Strong communication and relationship building skills with high levels of personal integrity
Collaborative leadership style, able to bring others along on a success and results driven journey
Industrial Electrical industry knowledge
Current EWRB registration desired but not essential
