As an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and draughting of a range of material handling and process equipment. As part of a high performing, personable and committed team of Design Engineers you will become an integral part of the business once settled. Reporting into and supported by the Engineering Design Manager you will receive first rate technical guidance from a Lead Designer, while collaborating with a team of passionate Mechanical Design Engineers.
Design general layout and material handling or process equipment with Autodesk Inventor
Provides sales layout drawing and models to support sales engineers
Create workshop drawings of equipment for fabrication
Generate BOM’s and spares lists of equipment as required for projects
Provide Machine Risk Assessment on all equipment designed
Develop new concept design of bespoke equipment to meet customer requirements
Design Jigs for Fabrication
Develop existing products, recommend design modifications and contribute to improvement
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Strong CAD design skills, proficient with AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks
Experience with Vault Data Management software
Understanding of manufacturing food grade, hygiene standards
Minimum of 2-3 years + experience in a design role with food handling, dairy manufacturing or industrial focus
Unrestricted work rights for NZ currently in country or with imminent arrival
