A unique to market role as Mechanical Reliability Engineer has arisen within one of their Central North Island Plants.
Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, and as an integral member of the Reliability Maintenance team, the purpose of this role is to increase plant reliability, oversee reliability improvement projects, ensure delivery aligns with the company asset strategy and assist to develop long term reliability strategies for widely used plant. You will have extensive experience in strategically delivering predictive and preventative engineering in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Your proven relationship building skills will be complemented by well developed, interpersonal and influencing abilities. A competitive package in the $115 - $125 K range will be provided dependant on experience.
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will provide maintenance and operational expertise and support to the plant with responsibilities including:
Scope maintenance work for completion by contractors
Ensure quality, productivity and adherence schedules are maintained
Increase reliability through improving reliability maintenance practices
Perform root cause analysis to ensure maintenance reliability issues resolved
Take a medium to long term strategic approach for reliability engineering activities
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar
5-10 years experience working within a large industrial, MHF, manufacturing environment
Proven expertise in Reliability Engineering with Pulp and Paper knowledge preferred
Be a strong communicator and effective influencer with excellent people skills
Have strong operational and maintenance knowledge
Sound leadership with the ability to motivate and problem solve
