Location : Auckland
Job type : Permanent
Contact name : Ralph Suckling

Calling Tool-Men, Tool-Women; or if Tools don’t rock your boat quite so much, Marketing Experts.

If you’re looking for an exciting product range, to market through one of the best-resourced, high profile Retail and Trade Sales chains, it pretty much doesn’t get any bigger than this in New Zealand.

This supplier of some of the best hand and power-tools for tradies and handymen, has two opportunities for a Product Manager – one for Hand Tools, one for Power Tools. The Product Manager will carefully and artfully maximise the sales potential of specific products by understanding the product, end users and how to work with a Big-Box Retail and Trade chain store network.

Your expertise will result in the products you manage always being well matched to customer needs, compliant within regulatory controls; found in the best physical conditions at store shelf level; coupled with store-staff knowledge and enthusiasm; supported by multi-level innovative marketing collateral; highlighted by strategic promotional initiatives and so-on; such that customers can’t help themselves but put them in their trolleys.

The right candidate will have well developed skills in product analysis, product planning, product promoting and marketing. You will understand the big-box retailer, you’ll be an expert at making it easy for your products to take premium position in the client’s hearts and minds because you’re so easy to work with, so well prepared, so well planned and your support is way better than all your competitors.

You will enjoy product presentations, you’ll know how to engage and enthuse your retailer-partners and your customers into the brand-vibe. You’ll be good at this because you’re also engaged right back up the product delivery chain – including with the product designers in the USA and Hong Kong. You’ll be involved right up and down the chain from product inception, product design to final customer satisfaction.

The right candidate will either have a relevant Marketing or Business degree, or solid qualification-by-experience in the profession of Product Management.

Ideally your heart will be beating a little faster at the thought of every day being Tool-Day? If it is, lets talk and see if this role, or maybe our Account Manager job would be the perfect fit for your personality and skill-set.

And, we know what you're thinking; the answer is yes - you'll also get awesome staff discounts, not to mention a super-funky, winning-team, have-fun-at-work, work environment.
