Our client is one of the leading Quantity Surveying consultancies in Auckland. They are currently looking for an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company is well-established and is going from strength to strength, there is opportunity for career development and growth. The position is paying $100-130k plus benefits.
In order to be successful in the position, applicants must have the following experience: good to strong PQS experience gained in New Zealand; a proven track record in cost planning, pre and post contract; an understanding of the different building components and how they work; have high communication skills and be able to converse with clients and ‘new’ people i.e. have a high level of confidence; have a good attention to detail and be able to focus; excellent time management; be able to ask for help; work autonomously once basic training has been completed and be enthusiastic.
Applicants must have a background of working for a PQS / Cost consulting company. Some experience of working for a construction contractor will be seen as beneficial, but the majority of experience must be in a PQS environment.
