We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and deliver a major seismic strengthening project in the Wellington CBD.
To succeed in this role it is essential that you can demonstrate a relevant career as a Main Contractor Site Manager or Project Manager. You must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, and able to co-ordinate a team of different disciplines.
Plan all construction activities from structure to fit-out, scheduling packages to ensure deadlines will be met
Oversee best practice construction methodology, planning, delivery, logistics and commercial issues
Collaborate with Architects, Consulting Engineers and Council
Manage a productive and collaborative relationship with specialist subcontractors
Implementing and managing any design and build changes and interventions, reporting on progress to the client and all stakeholders
Supervise the work of site managers and supervisors and give them guidance when needed
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Skills and experience required:
Previous experience as a Site or Project Manager on a seismic strengthening project
Tertiary qualification in construction or related discipline
High level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A landmark building in the Wellington CBD requiring seismic upgrade followed by a high quality fit out.
