A leading commercial contractor in Auckland is in need of a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Auckland on a contract basis for 3 months. At least 5 years experience of working on construction projects in NZ is essential in order to be considered; any ECI (early contractor involvement) / pre-construction experience is desirable but not essential. The position has a rate of $60-80/hour dependent on experience.
The company has a long history of successfully delivering commercial construction projects across the Auckland region. They cover projects in the commercial, mixed use residential & retail, interiors and corporate sectors.
As a well experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will have experience of:
Working on construction projects in New Zealand as a QS
Successfully managing costs through project life cycle
Experience in cost planning, bills of quantity preparation, measuring cost plans and contract administration
Able to confidently navigate your way around sites and provide technical knowledge to the engineering and building teams
Providing accurate commercial advice to Construction Directors and Project Managers
Working across multiple high value commercial projects
Excellent communication skills. You must be able to professionally and assertively convey communication to all involved
A relevant tertiary education
