Our Client is seeking a Site Engineer with general civil's, structures or roading experience to work on projects across the Taranaki region with travel to other parts of the lower North Island as well. With a strong outlook on future works, and a team dedicated to training and promoting from within, this role will give an established Site Engineer a wide range of future opportunities including progression into Project Management. Key accountabilities of the position include:
Understand contract drawings and be able to communicate specifications to the construction team
Develop strong working relationships with Foremen to ensure measurements and quantities are in line with the goals of the project
Assist Project Engineer with project planning, including programme, work methods, procurement.
Ensuring Quality Assurance is completed
Prepare Work Plans, Inspections, Test Plan, and Job Risk Analysis
Quality control of direct and subcontract works
Record keeping for performance monitoring
Maintaining a Site Diary to record labour, plant, progress and material ordering
Uphold high standards for all matters relating to safety
What we need
Bachelor of Engineering
2+years site-based experience in civil engineering projects
Open to working away from home with projects from Hawkes Bay to New Plymouth and Wellington
