We are now recruiting for a well-established building company who have been operating in the residential sector for the past decade. The company is setting up a prefab plant in Ellerslie and require an experienced manager with skills in residential site management, project management and operations management. This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a pivotal and crucial role in the factory's establishment and operations.
The factory will be producing homes and apartments in modular / prefabricated parts to be put together onsite. This allows site construction to be expedited immensely, it cuts down on waste and is a highly efficient methodology. Applicants must come from a trades background and have a minimum of 5-6 years experience of residential construction in NZ. Management, health & safety, supply chain, quality assurance and very strong communications skills are requited to make this position a success.
The salary for the position is dependent on experience but will be in the region of $120-140k.
In order to be considered, applicants must have the following:
A carpentry background
Residential build experience, the larger the better (high density, large subdivisions, terrace houses, apartments ideally)
Strong communications skills, written and verbal
The ability to successfully manage, lead and motivate large diverse teams
Experience managing operational budgets
Proven ability to improve systems and increase effectiveness and efficiency
QA experience in the residential sector
Proven experience in delivering calm leadership in a high-pressure environment
Understanding of NZ health and safety requirements both legally and industry specific
