​We are happy to introduce you to our new team member, Peter Henderson, who has joined us in the brand-new role of Principal Consultant and Wellington Perm Team Leader. With a wealth of experience both locally and abroad, Pete is a tremendous addition to our team who will help us to deliver even better results to our clients.

A Competent New Wellington Team Leader

Peter Henderson was chosen for the new role of team leader because of his experience in the fields of Civil Infrastructure / Engineering and Transportation / Rail recruitment as well as his 10+ years’ of people management. He returns to New Zealand after twenty years in the competitive UK recruitment market and will be focusing on the lower North and the South Island in his role. We are proud to welcome him to the team due to his extensive experience in the field.

Pete's Career

After growing up on a farm, Pete headed to Massey University, where he graduated in 1998 with a Degree in Business, focusing on Marketing and Sport Management, and then earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. He began his career at Telstra Saturn telecommunications, where he sold the product door-to-door before he became a sales executive at Cavalier Bremworth.

This role, which was focused on specifier marketing, allowed him to work with developers, architects, and designers all over the lower North Island. In search of further opportunities, he left New Zealand to spend five years at AndersElite, where he worked with Hamish and Jeremy, and 14 years at Fusion People. That's how he has amassed 20 years of experience serving Civil Infrastructure and Rail Engineering clients.

Pete's Insights 

Pete has recently returned to New Zealand with his wife and two sons. He is optimistic about the future of the sectors he works in, particularly due to the heavy government investment in infrastructure projects. He recognizes the shortage of resources and skilled labour and believes that a clear plan is needed in order to avoid all projects competing against each other for the same pool of candidates post-Covid. 

After having worked with some of our staff members in the past, Pete has decided to join our team because of our outstanding reputation. He is looking forward to participating in the friendly work culture we have created here at RobLawMax.
